We are looking for a volunteer Inventory/Item care Lead for our Library of Things at Bourne Hall.
We have a growing library of about 40 items donated by the community and available for borrowing. Items are kept in the store at Bourne Hall and need regular care to keep them in good working order. All electrical items need regular PAT testing and items also need to be regularly checked for damage.
We're looking for someone who enjoys fixing and maintaining mechanical and/or electrical items, and ideally is knowledgeable or willing to learn PAT testing.
Ideally you would be able to support the team on a weekly basis.
Organising maintenance and repair of items either by liaising with Epsom Repair Cafe, or by repairing them yourself or with other team members.
Regularly checking items for damage, usually upon return from the borrower.
Keeping the inventory system up to date by logging and tracking item maintenance
Availability to work with our team during weekdays daytime hours is ideal.
We have plenty of WhatsApp group projects to join and volunteer including Bike and Tech amnesty, Art, Nature, Schools, Library of Things, Food.
Join the WhatsApp group and feel free to join any communities you have an interest in.
