Community Engagement Roles

Volunteer Recruitment. Run recruitment events, online campaigns, and partnerships, and manage onboarding of new volunteers. 

Volunteer Support & Retention. Keep volunteers motivated, check in with them, and match them to tasks. Organise socials and thank-yous.

Events Planner. Run Events. Handle logistics and venues risks, to ensure events run smoothly behind the scenes.

Events Promotions & Outreach. Publicise events to the local community (posters, leaflets, digital) and connect with local groups to boost attendance.

Schools & Youth Engagement.  Build links with schools, colleges, and youth organisations. Run workshops, challenges, and eco-projects. Put in place safeguarding for young volunteers.

Volunteer Communication Roles 

Social Media Content Creator. Design graphics, short videos, and posts (Instagram, TikTok, etc.). Ensure branding is consistent and creative.

Social Media Engagement & Community Manager. Reply to comments and messages, build a sense of online community and boost engagement.

Press & Media Relations. Write and send press releases and build strong relationships with local media.

Newsletter Writer & Editor. Collect updates and stories. Draft and edit the group’s monthly newsletters.

Newsletter Distribution. Send out newsletters, manage mailing lists and GDPR compliance etc.
