Rivers are the lifeblood of our landscapes, yet many face pollution and neglect. Inspired by Robert Macfarlanes's "Is A River Alive?", this community art exhibition brings together local artists, schools, and art groups, including the Royal Marsden school, to celebrate the beauty and importance of our rivers and waterways.
Explore a vibrant collection of artwork created by people of all ages from across Epsom and Ewell, each sharing their own unique take on a river's story, magic, and life-giving energy.

On Sat 23 May, we held an End of Exhibition Celebration, reflecting on our month-long Living Rivers Exhibition.
We were delighted to welcome Caroline and Pippa, who gave an inspiring talk about the impact of Environmental Art and shared their wonderful work with the River Mole River Watch charity.
After reflecting on our very first community art exhibition, we came together to choose the theme for next year's project — Water of Life.
It was a special day to celebrate the people who make our community what it is: those who repair and maintain our Library of Things, those who keep us connected through our digital channels, and those who show up faithfully, no matter what. We were also thrilled to welcome a potential new volunteer to the group!
To close the meeting, we symbolically lit a candle on the cake to mark our very first Exhibition and volunteer gathering - a moment truly worth celebrating!
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey - from the very first idea, to hanging artworks, filming, joining us on the Hogsmill River Walk, collaborating with partner organisations and schools, and finally taking the artworks down. Every contribution, big and small, has made a real difference.
We hope that our collective efforts will help raise awareness about the vital role water resources play in our daily lives — and that next year, even more people will join us to share their time and talents with the community.
Thank you all — you are the heart of eeCAN!
